Great Clay poker chips May 26, 2010 Kamar Gidden Just had a poker game of ten people and all who attend was complimenting the chips. Great buy
An excellent chip set! February 20, 2010 Tyler (PARADISE, CALIFORNIA, US) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
When I was considering ordering this chip set, I was speculative. I usually prefer to see something like this before I buy it so I can either confirm or discard the criticisms that I have heard. I am not sure about other people, but I am completely satisfied with this product. The case is sturdy, and the handle remains intact. The chips are nice quality. I hear that clunk sound that I was expecting from them. However, if you are looking for an even louder clunking sound, you can find 14g chips on Amazon also. When I scratch them, I leave no mark. They are not pieces of bendable plastic. You cannot see this in the picture, but the chips actually come tightly wrapped in clear plastic to prevent a mess inside the case or scratching of the chips during shipment. The cards are good One A brand plastic coated 54 card decks (with jokers). Everything that it claims to include is included. The set is as pictured. Actually, the only difference is that the chips are arranged from left to right: white, blue, black, and red. (The picture shows red, blue, black, and white). Who really cares about that? If that offends you, just switch them around when you receive the set. That is the worst thing that I have to say about it. Be careful with the keys, though, because they are made of thin metal and will bend if you try to force the case to lock. Luckily, there are two if you have to learn this the hard way the first time. This set even contains one thing that is not pictured, and that is an instruction sheet with hand rankings as well as how to play texas hold 'em, seven card stud, and five card draw. If you are wondering whether or not 300 chips is enough, it really depends on how you like to play. When playing with friends, do you like to start with deep stacks or short stacks? For the average player, I would say this is designed for 4-6 players, which means that each of you would get 50-75 chips, which should be plenty. If you want to play 8-10 player games, go for the 500 piece chip set. But for me personally, there is no way I could fit anymore than 6 people at my dining room table without cramming anyway. In conclusion, the set has met my expectations, contains good quality parts, and works well for a medium sized game. All this for $29.99 new with free shipping despite it weighing 13 lbs, I say buy it!
Excellent Response from Seller February 5, 2010 Russ from WI (Wisconsin, USA) Item originally arrived damaged, most likely during shipping. The return/refund was very fast and easy. Re-ordered item and it was delivered very quickly. 5-stars for the seller's response (who also paid for the return shipping)
Thank you!
Great product and great price but missing promised dealer buttons! January 31, 2010 A. Mehra (Washington, DC) This product is great except that it doesn't include the 6 dealer buttons as promised by the product description on the website. For that alone, I took 2 stars off.
